ITEA 2 Symposium 2009

Business-oriented innovation that strengthens economy and benefits society

Our 2009 Symposium took place in Madrid, Spain on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 October in the Auditorium Hotel.

The ITEA 2 Symposium this year focussed on the theme "Business-oriented innovation that strengthens economy and benefits society".

During the morning session of ITEA 2 Community Day on Thursday 29 October, special focus sessions were held on different topics. These sessions were a key opportunity for the ITEA community to come together and discuss. In the afternoon, the ITEA 2 presidium presented  programme achievements & successes, current facts & figures and the future.

On Friday 30 October, for the second time, a Co-summit was held together with ARTEMISIA Association with a co-organised one-day programme scheduled around the theme: Ecosystems driving open innovation in Embedded Intelligence and Software-intensive Systems and Services. Presentations during this Co-Summit included industrial and political viewpoints on the theme. Furthermore in the afternoon there were parallel sessions for participants to join on different topics linking the themes to concrete ICT-based approaches and examples

An exhibition with over 60 projects showcasing their results and achievements on 29 & 30 October was again a highlight of the ITEA 2 Symposium and the Co-summit.
