Curriculum Vitae Jean-Francois Lavignon
Jean-François Lavignon, 47 years old, joined Bull in 1998. Currently, he is VP in charge of Technology Strategy including Server Architecture & Technical cooperation and Advanced Research projects.
Before, he was general manager of the HPC business unit, in charge of developing Bull’s business in the HPC market. He started is career at Bull as responsible for Bull’s research strategy in the field of software and then he was in charge of a business unit developing security solutions.
Before joining Bull he served in several positions related to IT research. He was, among other, in charge of a research laboratory that introduced the use of massively parallel supercomputers for image and signal processing at French Ministry of Defence.
Jean-François Lavignon graduated from Ecole Polytechnique in 1984 and ENSTA (Ecole Nationale des Techniques Avancées) in 1986. He spent one year at Stanford University as invited researcher.
